Jay Strickland

Founder / CEO

Jay's passion for technology was realized while attending NCSU, where he earned his BS in Computer Science. He began web development consulting in 1995 for two groups who are now WingSwept's most tenured clients. Upon graduation, Jay entered the US Air Force where he served for four years separating honorably at the rank of Captain. Jay lives in Raleigh with his wife and three daughters and enjoys camping and target shooting.

April Strickland

VP, Human Resources

Since earning her degree in Psychology from Duke University, April has been with WingSwept, working along with Jay to help the company excel — and working to help our growing team feel at home. April is a supportive wife and mother to three girls. She enjoys good music and Mexican food.

Allison Lehman

Lead Developer

Allison interned at WingSwept while earning her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in Computer Science from NC State University in just three years. Now, her web development expertise in Java offers customized web application solutions to all types of clients. Allison lives in Raleigh with her husband and son. She enjoys traveling, photography and water sports.

Jason DeChicio

Lead Systems Engineer

Since majoring in Computer Science at NC State, Jason has worked in networking, security, technical support, systems administration, connectivity issues, voice and as operations manager for Intrex Computers. He is a Certified SonicWALL Systems Analyst and has extensive experience with a host of technology systems. Jason lives south of Garner with his wife and two children and enjoys reading, spending time with his family and mountain biking.

Marcy Sawyer

Accountant

Graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in English, Marcy began her career at UPS where she worked for 13 years. She and her husband then started their own business where she managed HR and Accounting. Marcy now brings her financial expertise to help guide WingSwept. Marcy loves to sing, read and is active in children's ministry at her church. She lives with her husband of 25 years and 6 adorable kids. Her favorite pastime, of course, is laundry.

Jason Middendorf

Special Projects Director - Vertical Markets

After the housing market downturn, Jason left his real estate business to join WingSwept as a Vertical Markets account manager. He transitioned to customer service in 2009 and in 2012 was promoted to Director of Special Projects. Jason lives in Raleigh with his dog, Fenway. He enjoys fishing, golf and spending time with family and friends.

Annette Springle

Systems Engineer & Accounts

A Business Administration/Decision Sciences major from ECU, Annette has worked in various areas of the IT field in systems analysis, network and server support, and has traveled nationally training users on software functionality. At WingSwept, Annette takes pride in not only matching clients with the right products, but also in teaching them how to better understand and use technology. Annette enjoys singing and spending time with her family.

Bill Leiser

Business Development Director

After a long career in the entertainment and dining industry starting with the Walt Disney Company, Bill made the move to WingSwept in 2011. He enjoys spending quality time with his three children and tracking down treasures at estate sales on weekends. In his spare time, Bill pitches in a local softball league and occasionally operates a certified "Power Seller" ebay business named "Antique Millionaire".

Carrie Scott

Human Resource Coordinator

After graduating from Duke University with a degree in Geology, Carrie's greatest achievement to date has been the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom for a number of years to three daughters. Her love of detail and helping others lends itself well to her current role with WingSwept. She has a passion for education and is a mentor, tutor and basketball coach in her spare time.

Chad Henderson

Designer

After performing excerpts from Much Ado About Nothing (in a British accent) with his future wife for his college Shakespeare class, and managing budgets with pivot tables for years at Nortel, Chad finally settled on his love for design. With agency experience at CRI and ALPHA, Chad now combines design and writing to bring clients' visions to life on large and small screens alike.

Chris Williams

Customer Service - Vertical Markets

Chris came to WingSwept after a successful college sports career at North Carolina State University. He enjoys working with Vertical Markets clients to set up Search Engine Marketing campaigns and optimizing them for the best results. Though at WingSwept full time, Chris still loves sports and enjoys watching and rooting for the NC State football team. Go pack!

Danielle Key

Developer

Danielle began at WingSwept as an intern, graduating from North Carolina State University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2008. Now full time, Danielle works across all of WingSwept's divisions developing robust web solutions to meet a variety of needs and challenges. Danielle enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and family.

Darin Leonard

Account Executive - Vertical Markets

After graduating from Furman University, Darin worked for The Southwestern Co, Physicians Mutual and Family Heritage Life where he was a Lifetime Achievement Award winner. Now at WingSwept, Darin connects with small businesses who benefit from our proven web solutions. Darin lives in Angier with his wife and son. He enjoys fishing, running and impersonating famous people.

David Jones

Systems Engineer

David has worked in the IT field for over ten years. He holds Microsoft and Cisco certifications. He lives in Raleigh with his daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys backyard astronomy, travelling and is a big football (soccer) and cricket fan.

Doug Meeker

Telesales Director - Vertical Markets

Doug began his sales career while in college selling educational books door-to-door for three summers. He particularly enjoys IT-related sales and is thrilled to be a part of the WingSwept team. Doug is also a singer/songwriter and is actively involved in music ministry both locally and internationally.

Garrett Paquette

Senior Network Engineer

Originally hailing from the frozen wastes of Alaska, Garrett and his wife moved to Central Florida to thaw in 2008. Rapidly approaching the melting point, they relocated to the Raleigh area when Garrett joined the WingSwept team. Garrett has been providing IT design, management, administration and support for a vast range of industries across the US and abroad. He brings an enthusiasm for customer service, a great eye for detail and years of experience. His free time is spent with his wife traveling, PC gaming, cooking and fishing.

JC Cranford

Systems Analyst

JC spent many years at Cardinal International Trucks before coming to WingSwept. With a degree in Web Technologies and several professional certifications, JC is constantly behind the scenes making sure our clients' systems are running optimally and securely. JC enjoys comedies and spending time with his wife and daughter.
