Triangle Business Journal's 2010 Green Action Program of the Year!WingSwept's Technology Spring Clean has become an annual Earth Day event in Garner. Over the past three year's over 50,000 pounds of technology equipment has been dropped off to be recycled. WingSwept thanks the community for their enthusiasm and support towards the cause. WingSwept holds the spring clean event to allow businesses or consumers the opportunity to bring in unwanted computer technology items, drop them off for free, and avoid them harmfully going to landfills. Improperly disposing of technology in landfills has been banned. Computers/CPUs, UPS, printers, monitors, copiers, keyboards, mice, circuit boards, mainframes, hard drives, and phone systems are accepted for drop-off. All hard drives are removed from the computers and securely shredded prior to recycling. WingSwept is donating this as a service to the community to allow business or individuals concerned about sensitive data peace of mind knowing that their data will be secure. |
