Technology Spring Clean
Triangle Business Journal's 2010 Green Action Program of the Year!
WingSwepts Technology Spring Clean has become an annual Earth Day event in Garner. Over the past three years, more than 50,000 pounds of technology equipment has been dropped off to be recycled. We thank the community for their enthusiasm and support towards the cause! We hold the spring clean event to allow businesses and consumers the opportunity to bring in unwanted computer and electronic items, drop them off for free and avoid having them harmfully disposed of in landfills.
Improperly disposing of technology in landfills has been banned. Computers/CPUs, UPS, printers, monitors, copiers, keyboards, mice, circuit boards, mainframes, hard drives and phone systems are accepted for drop-off. All hard drives are removed from the computers and securely shredded prior to recycling. WingSwept is donating this service to the community to help business or individuals concerned about sensitive data have peace of mind, knowing that their discarded data will be deleted securely.
The date for 2013's event is Saturday, April 20 at 605 Poole Drive in Garner! Time: 10am-4pm (Rain date: April 27.) View the flyer >
