WingSwept to Launch Website for The Garner Citizen News & Times

GARNER (July 16, 2007) - The Garner Citizen News & Times has partnered with WingSwept Communications, Inc. to develop the local newspaper's online presence. The Garner-based web development and information technology consulting firm has offices in North Carolina, Virginia and Texas and serves clients in 42 states and four countries in a vast cross section of industries.

"We're looking forward to The Garner Citizen becoming an active force for promoting Garner and we jumped at the chance to play a role," said Jay Strickland, WingSwept's president. "We're very excited about what the future holds for Garner and see The Citizen as a great way to get out the message to both residents and those looking to relocate their families and businesses to the area."

In 2006, WingSwept was recognized for its excellence in communication by the Raleigh Public Relations Society (RPRS). The firm was honored with four awards, including a best in division award for audio/visual communications. Recently, WingSwept implemented a newly redesigned site for the Garner Chamber of Commerce to help promote the business community in Garner.

The Garner Citizen News & Times is a weekly publication scheduled to make its debut on or about July 24. The newspaper will provide quality, up-to-date information on local government, business, education, sports, and lifestyle.

The newspaper's website, www.garnercitizen.com, will be rolled out in phases, with the first version coming in Q3 and a more dynamic website scheduled to launch by the end of 2007. In addition to providing an array of reader services, including up-to-date local news, the site will offer selected options to advertise.
