WingSwept Communications, Inc. Launches Web Site for Market Leading British Embedded Software Firm
RALEIGH (Aug. 14, 2006) - WingSwept Communications, Inc., a leading IT consulting company specializing in Web and database development, today announced the launch of a new Web site for IntAct Software Limited. Headquartered in Cambridge, England, with offices in Hong Kong and Alpharetta, Ga., IntAct is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amino Technologies plc, which designs and supplies customer premise equipment (CPE), software and consultancy services for Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) applications, on-demand video and in-home multimedia distribution.
IntAct is a supplier of "triple-play" (voice, data and video) software and equipment to the telecommunications industry. IntAct supplies triple-play capabilities to telecommunications companies interested in adding video services to existing voice and data offerings. Many operators in the United States, such as AT&T and Verizon, have announced plans to offer such expanded services. IntAct is one of the business units under the Amino Technologies plc umbrella focusing specifically on licensing software and hardware reference designs to the global telecommunications operator market.
"We are extremely pleased with the Web site and the level of professionalism that the entire WingSwept team displayed during the project," said Karthik Ranjan, vice president of sales and marketing for IntAct. "It can be tough for some companies to meet the needs of an international client. The distance and timing factors alone could have been enough to derail the project, yet Jay and his team rose to the challenge and delivered a solid product of which we're proud."
The new site, www.intactos.com, provides targeted information on the value of IntAct's highly innovative software products to telecommunications operators. IntAct's software is designed to enable applications such as electronic program guides, video-on-demand and personal video recording, as well as various end-user applications such as video conferencing, distance learning, gaming, video phone, Internet communication and photo sharing.
