Jay Strickland, CISSP

Jay has worked in the technology field since 1995, beginning while attending NCSU where he earned his B.S. in Computer Science. Since founding WingSwept in 1999, he has led its growth through a combination of strategic vision, technical expertise, and a passion for serving clients, employees, and the community. In his role as CEO, Jay leverages his 30+ years of technology leadership experience to help organizations strengthen cybersecurity, manage risk, improve operational resilience, and use technology effectively to achieve their goals while guiding WingSwept’s strategy, driving innovation, mentoring future leaders, and fostering the company’s culture of service, growth, and integrity. Under Jay's leadership, WingSwept has earned numerous workplace and industry recognitions and is known for its strong values, responsive service, and commitment to community through charitable giving and employee ownership. As an active industry leader, Jay is engaged in creating opportunities for others, building meaningful relationships, and supporting the long-term success of organizations and their communities. Jay lives in Raleigh, N.C., with his wife and three daughters. In addition to running his companies, he has served on and chaired numerous boards and committees for non-profits in the community, volunteers on the leadership counsel and teaches Sunday school at his local church, and supports charitable organizations and fundraising efforts throughout the region.
